The Destination

Vancouver, BC, Canada, is a city worth seeing and a great excuse to extend your INTA 2018 experience. We don’t want to be overly effusive in our description (after all, we have the pleasure of living and working here), so, instead, we’ll let The New York Times sing the city’s praises: “Vancouver is Manhattan with mountains. It’s a liquid city, a tomorrow city, equal parts India, China, England, France and the Pacific Northwest. It’s the cool North American sibling.”

The Oyen Wiggs’ reception at the peak of Grouse Mountain is the perfect opportunity to get a bird’s eye view of Vancouver while contemplating which part you plan to visit next.

AttractionsA view of Gastown, Vancouver at night.

Cosmopolitan and diverse, Vancouver, BC, Canada, has something to excite any traveler. Historic Gastown offers a plethora of culinary delights, while Stanley Park, one of the world’s largest urban green spaces, offers tranquil forests, beaches, and a six-mile seawall that is perfect for an afternoon bike ride.

Tourism Vancouver has compiled a helpful list of their 10 Must See Attractions. Beyond these highlights, there are endless hidden treasures to discover and a world-class restaurant scene that will delight your inner foodie.

Meanwhile, at Grouse Mountain, the grizzlies Grinder and Coola are awake after 153 days of hibernation. They’re hungry and ready to play and to explore their alpine habitat. The pair has been together at Grouse Mountain for 17-years, “since coming to the wildlife refuge in 2001 as orphans after being rescued during separate incidents in Bella Coola and Invermere“. Our reception at Grouse Mountain is the perfect opportunity to meet two of Vancouver’s biggest and furriest residents.
