Blackberry Sues Avaya for Patent Infringement

Mobile phone maker BlackBerry launched a patent infringement suit against internet telephone company Avaya. The lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas alleges infringement of eight US patents covering a range of technologies from displaying messages to mobile device tracking. The lawsuit represents a shift by BlackBerry towards monetizing its portfolio of approximately 44,000 patents . Read more here.
