John Lambert assists clients with creating, developing and commercializing intellectual property rights in Canada, the United States, and other jurisdictions around the world. John works with a variety of clients, from individuals to large corporations and other organizations, in securing intellectual property rights and resolving intellectual property disputes.

John joined Oyen Wiggs as a summer student in 2017, becoming an associate in 2019. Before studying law John studied mathematical physics at the University of Alberta, where he conducted research in biophysics in the context of simulations of protein folding.  John also has experience working in R&D for an Edmonton-based small enterprise, improving specialized exhaust fans for heavy machinery.

Outside of work, John frequently enjoys running and hiking. John is also an amateur classically-trained baritone and sings in choral and solo performances when time permits.
