Jeff Sun attended law school at the Peter A. Allard School of Law at UBC, where he completed the Juris Doctor program. He is now an articling student at Oyen Wiggs Green & Mutala LLP. Before studying law, he obtained an M.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences, and a B.S. in Materials Science Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
As a graduate student, Jeff conducted research on complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) and memristor technologies for neuromorphic computing applications. He also helped develop energy efficient nanoelectromechanical (NEM) relays, and has published in this field at IEEE’s International Electron Devices Meeting (IEDM). Jeff previously interned at AFCC Automotive Fuel Cell Cooperation Corp. where he worked in R&D, and Intel Corporation with their systems level failure analysis team.
At law school, Jeff is involved with the UBC Intellectual Property Club and plays on the intramural volleyball team. He helps out with the Law Students’ Legal Advice Program in his spare time, and enjoys playing golf.
Jeff speaks fluent Mandarin.
